Welcome to the 52nd Annual Phippen Museum Western Art Show and Sale over Memorial Day weekend – May 23-25, 2026. The show hours are 9:00 to 5:00 Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 to 3:00 on Monday. I will be set up at my same spot near the Northwest corner of the Courthouse Square, booth #72. I will premiere close to 30 new paintings! See me once again at the highly anticipated Quick Draw event will be Saturday and Sunday at 2pm each day. Artists are given one hour to complete a painting. The public can watch the paintings come to life and then bid on the works shortly after, a benefit for the Phippen Museum.

The Phippen Museum’s annual Western Art Show has become one of Prescott’s most beloved Memorial Day weekend traditions — a celebration of artistry, heritage, and the spirit that shaped the American West.
Each year, downtown Prescott transforms into an open‑air gallery as more than a hundred artists line the historic Courthouse Plaza with tents filled with paintings, sculpture, and more. Locals, visitors, collectors, and curious wanderers all mingle under the shade of the courthouse trees, talking with artists who are often creating new pieces right on the spot.
Inside the Phippen Museum itself, the weekend features additional exhibitions, demonstrations, and the prestigious Phippen Awards, which highlight standout works in traditional and contemporary Western art. For many artists, being recognized here is a career milestone; for attendees, it’s a chance to discover new talent before the rest of the world catches on.
But beyond the awards and the artistry, the show feels like a homecoming. Prescott’s Western roots run deep, and the event captures that history with warmth and authenticity.
