Last Fall was full of colorful trips and I am finally getting to painting the places I visited! I hiked West Fork when fall colors were at their prime, I hiked from Lockett Meadow to Inner Basin in a brilliant glow of golden aspens, and I hiked the Hermit Trail of the Grand Canyon. I think the photographs I took will serve me until next Fall as inspiration for paintings. I feel as if I haven’t enough time to paint from these three trips, an overflow of ideas to express themselves in paintings. Here is a selection of recent paintings:
