This is a 20×30″ acrylic of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado at Maroon Bells National Park. My medium of choice for the past few years was oil, but I was intrigued to use acrylic again after Golden Acrylics came out with their “Open” acrylics. With Open Acrylics, I have more drying time than regular acrylic but not as long as oils. Opens become tacky after about an hour. They are easy to use, washable and thinned withed water. I tentative title for this painting is “Castle in the Clouds.”
