You are invited to attend the 51st Annual Western Art Show & Sale by the Phippen Art Museum at the Courthouse Square in downtown Prescott May 24-26, 2025. This will be my fourteenth year participating in this premier fine art event! You can find me in my usual spot at Booth #72 near the Northwest corner of the Courthouse Square. The show begins Saturday May 24th of Memorial Day weekend at 9:00 AM and stays open until 5:00 PM (Sunday has the same hours). The show closes on Monday at 3:00 PM. The Quick Draw event is always a crowd pleaser! Both Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM artists will be set up near the North steps of the Courthouse for the Quick Draw event. Artists are given one hour to complete a painting! The audience can watch the artists at work as an original painting materializes before their eyes. After the hour is up, the paintings are framed and auctioned off as a fundraiser for the Phippen Art Museum. I plan to participate in the Quick Draw both days!
This year, I will premiere a new body of oil paintings from the last six months. Last September, I participated in the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art and had a plethora of painting ideas from the 10 days spent at the south rim. So, many of these new works will be inspired from that experience. Other subjects include Oak Creek Canyon, Fall Aspens, and the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
